Monster #13: The Alarm Clock Monster
over 4 years ago – Sun, Oct 20, 2019 at 11:57:50 PM

Do you ever snooze and stay in bed longer than you should? Have you ever woken up because your alarm went off early or overslept because your alarm went off late? Then behold The Alarm Clock Monster

The Alarm Clock Monster

The time monster usually sleeps all night and is only awake at dawn. So it doesn't like sleepy people that stay in bed. This monster is one of the smallest, but it is the fastest one. It is the only Monster of Darkness with a single eye. It has two pointy ears, so it can hear noises from far away. Its hands are so tiny that they can fit between the gears of a clock, so he can play pranks by setting the alarms. Its teeth are so crooked and big that they don’t fit in its mouth.

̈ ̈The time monster ̈

It is the one responsible for the alarm clock going off when you’re at the best moment of your dream, for having to change the clocks twice a year, and for the alarm clock still going off even though you’ve switched it off… and also for those days when it doesn’t go off at all and you oversleep. If a clock stops working, it’s because the Alarm Clock Monster is up to its shenanigans again and wants to play.

What it likes

Stealing all kinds of clocks and watches.

The Beeper is a tool that reminds it of a clock, and that’s why it wants to go away with it.

Pulling pranks by setting clocks ahead of time and back.

What makes it angry

Seeing someone breaking clocks.

It’s allergic to the Firefly Dust Bag.

Waking up late.

Fear Level 7

How to set up the game
over 4 years ago – Sun, Oct 20, 2019 at 11:57:45 PM

To play Little Monster detectives you have to know how to set up the game. And for that, you have to know what kind of players you will be playing with. The setup of the game differs depending on the players, how many players do you have and how old they are. Planning a game for children ages 5-8 is not the same as a game for children who are two or three times that age.

Steps of the setup

1. Get-together

Planning the game is a very important part of it. The way you organize the place and time will affect the whole game, so take your time. Here you will recognize which level you can play based on the player you have and the location you have picked up.

To create the monster you have to play the question game, which will assist you to make it easy for you. To choose a monster you can find the list of monsters on the book, you pick one monster based on the added result three dice

4. Investigating

Collecting the clues and knowing what they mean is the main part of the investigating. Detectives must solve clues found in the house to guess who the monster is and how to catch it, help it, or how to find what it has hidden.

5. Overcoming the fear

After clever plans and lots of teamwork, you have to overcome the fear of the game to successfully finish your mission. This will be the fear level which is based on the monster you choose or create it. Remember Little Monster Detectives' goal is to help you to get over your fear, and show you how easy it is when you have detectives around you to help you.

Attention, Snipes! Change of shipping costs to Canada.
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 18, 2019 at 01:40:38 AM

Hello, Detective.

If you are participating from Canada, you should be interested in this. We've adjusted shipping costs to Canada, which means your sponsorship level has been modified.

This modification will only be reflecting the new level of patronage "Beginner Detective", which will have all the advantages of the previous level of the same name, which will appear as sold out. All other levels will appear as usual; this change will not affect the other levels or patrons, nor will it affect non-Canadian patrons, who have participated in the "Detective Beginner" level.

- I am from Canada and have participated in the old Beginner Detective level, what do I have to do? We recommend that you change your level of participation to this new "Beginner Detective" level so that you can access the new shipping costs.

- I live outside Canada. Does this affect me in any way? No, if you have participated in the sold-out "Beginner Detective" level you will receive all your material without any problem, don't worry.

- Why is the previous Beginner Detective level sold out? To avoid mistakes and someone backing the project without enjoying the correct shipping costs, we have taken the precaution of marking the previous level as “sold-out”. Do not worry! It doesn't affect anything else.

- I want to participate from Canada on levels other than Beginner Detective, will I have the correct shipping costs? Yes, all levels are already reviewed and you can participate without any problem. If you have any further questions, we will be happy to assist you.

The Clues
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 18, 2019 at 01:40:29 AM

WARNING! Clues are part of the advanced rules.

Being a detective means you have to investigate clues left or created by the monster. They will guide you through an intricate situation. As they are your evidence, they will lead you into the discovery of the monster, hidden within your house or around it.

What are the clues and what do they do?

They are traces or signs that are created by the monster which will help you to discover or figure out which type of monster has hidden in the house. Finding these clues can be scary, and that's why they increase the Fear level of the house. Once you have discovered the origin of the clue, the Fear level goes back to where it was before finding the clue.

What are they for?

Clues are a good way of making the game more fun and introducing the monster. If there aren’t any clues to be discovered the game will be easy and quick.

The advanced player hides clues in the game. To take it to another level, the clues may have more than one cause. This will make the other players rack their brains to understand the meaning and figure out the type of monster that is hidden.

For example

Hearing a noise without knowing where it is coming from adds 1 point to the Fear rate. But if you discover what created the noise and it was something silly, then the Scary moment can be over and it disappears.

Reminder

You should write the clues on the contract sheet to remember them in order to discover the correct monster. Erase the clues once you have discovered the monster that left them.
